With many DJs passing through the Lux* on their visiting DJ residency program, Beach Rouge must be the most wonderful place to dance to amazing music under the moon and stars, surrounded by the ocean and swaying palm trees.

Whether you wish to relax or adventure, your holiday will certainly never be boring! Kite surfing, diving, fly boarding, jet surfing, manta ray and whale shark adventures are all available at the Lagoon. I was impressed to find the resort also have a dedicated tennis coach.

There is an Ici ice cream cart that roams around the island to catch you in case you fancy a bit of coconut or pistachio ice cream in the sweltering heat. Such a lovely detail. Bliss.

The mini bar was a bit basic. Since the Romantic Pool Villas are so far from the rest of the resort, it would have been pleasant and more convenient to have something more luxurious in the room to snack on besides just coke and a bag of potato chips.

As the hotel is in the middle of the ocean, and that there are no recycling facilities in the Maldives, it was upsetting to see plastic bottles in the Mini Bar. It would be so wonderful to see a zero plastic policy on consumables at luxury resorts in the Maldives.
