"The sleekest camping experience in the Hudson Valley"
Highs & Lows
-
The property was only open a month when we went but you'd never know it. Every detail was in place, and none of the usual staff or logistics snags that come with a new opening.
-
AutoCamp started as AirStream rentals and exploded from there into a luxury outdoor dwelling experience. You can tell it's a well funded operation but it never seemed out of touch or disrespectful to the former ACA campground where it's located.
-
37 acres of blissful campground and accommodations to roam. You could stay on your designated turf by your tent/cabin/trailer if you wanted, but the common areas are great spaces with skylights, a covered porch, board games and family friendly activities.
-
The AirStreams have showers but if you stay in a tent, the Clubhouse has communal (but luxe) shower amenities.
-
Bring your family! In fact, have a reunion. I talked to several people here for group gatherings and they were all loving it. Everyone was totally unphased by my 3 month old, and she wasn't the only very young baby.
-
The staff. I'm from the area myself and every staff member I spoke to (or overheard) had a love for the region, and an endearing knowledge of the property and their local surroundings.
-
Only one — the common area is a great co-working space if you must, but there aren't any accessible outlets. Even if you're not there to work, there's lots of kids/teens hanging out and I'm assuming everyone wants somewhere to charge their phone in a communal space...
Important Bits

One of the most beautiful places on earth — New York's Hudson Valley. A stone's throw from Saugerties village on one side, a short drive to Woodstock on the other
-
Rooms
65 Airstreams, 10 Cabins, and 10 BaseCamps (Airstream + Luxury Tent)
-
Pre-Arrival & Arrival Experience
Fab and easy — booking incentives for each property, suggested packing lists, info on the terrain. The service tech really kicks in after arrival, with access to onsite videos with everything from menus to campground tours to How To (Start Your Campfire, Hook Up Bluetooth, Use the Oven, etc.)
-
Future Forward
High awareness of the outdoor experience and leave-no-trace messaging; the campgrounds are super detail oriented (composite wood logs/firestarters, immaculate waste disposal.) Programming is designed to tune in out-of-towners with their surroundings, ie. guided hiking tours and mindful forest bathing
-
Music
In common areas, soft jams you'd expect from any chill coffeehouse (Toro y Moi, MorMor, Neil Young)
-
Year Opened
2022
-
Designed By
In collaboration with chic NYC design firm, Workshop APD. The main clubhouse is modeled after Hudson Valley farmhouses, in a retro-ish campground palette that never crosses into kitsch. The whole property is sleek, modern and well appointed without being over-designed or anachronistic to its surroundings
-
Health & Wellness
The all season great outdoors is all around you, but onsite hot tub and pool options are coming soon
-
Food
Beautiful morning breakfast and coffee service (local faves 2Queens Coffee!) in the Clubhouse, the general store has a ton of snacks and local prepackaged items, BBQ kits, plus wine and beer. There is a full hot/cold menu at the Clubhouse, although it's not a full restaurant situation so I'm not sure how that works. We made use of our fire pit and Airstream kitchen and BBQ'd at "home"
-
Bar, Events & Nightlife
Check their site for musician performances, but even without programming it's all about hanging out with friends and family at your lot and enjoying the campfire vibes
-
Minibar & Retail
Extensive offerings from edible treats to solar lamps, reishi mushroom supplements, guide books and wearable merch
-
Accessibility
Yes! Cabins available with accessible entries, luxury bathrooms and kitchenettes
-
Pet Friendly
Definitely. Pet kits available when booking
-
Children
Most definitely
-
