What is your first memory of Menorca?
Getting to Ciutadella after two weeks of being on a boat, and I remember it being a magical city by night. Romantic restaurants by the water smelling of fresh summer nights.
How would you describe Menorca to someone that’s never been?
Genuine people, untouched, wild, classy.
Describe a perfect day in Menorca.
Yoga class in the morning, hike to the beach, and horse ride in the Camí de Cavalls for sunset!
How does Menorca inspire your work and your creativity?
Menorca definitely inspires work and creativity because it’s the most “untouched” and natural Balearic island. There are kilometers of unconstructed land with amazing forests and hikes all around.
When dreaming up Menorca, we should keep in mind…
- The best time to go is May, June, September, or October. Avoid July and August to avoid the crowds.
- Eat ortiguillas.
- Must visit Hauser & Wirth satellite gallery in Illa del Rei.
The must do, see, eat and enjoy…
- The Spa at Santa Ponsa Fontenille Menorca.
- Experimental Menorca for any meal and to stay!
- Sa Llagosta is the best restaurant for dinner.
- Definitely visit the town of Fornells (where Sa Llagosta is), with its beautiful and charming Menorqui architecture and incredible restaurants in front of the sea.
- Do a horse ride in Cami de Cavalls which means ‘Way of Horses,’ a 185-kilometer dirt track that circles the entire coast of Menorca.
- Do the Jeep Safari!
- Go in a Menorquin boat around the island.
