La Malcontenta is located just a short, beautiful walk from El Castell beach: the last virgin beach on the Costa Brava. There’s a nice little beach shag to have lunch!

Although located in the proximity to some major cities such as Girona and Barcelona, La Malcontenta feels like you’re in the middle of nature: so quiet, surrounded by pine woods and the sounds of crickets.

The interiors are beautiful: colourful fabrics and interesting art works are combined with the historic building in such a nice way. You feel the attention to detail in every nook.

The room was enormous: a huge bed, wooden floors, a private terrace, very high ceilings and spacious bathroom. A little house on its own.

To finish up this place, it would be so great to have some more coffee table books around: about art, the history of the region as well as reading books. This always gives soul to a place.
