Highs & Lows
-
Cosmopolitan flair in a West Coast city. The hotel has the sophistication of a European hotel with Pacific Northwest finesse.
-
Renovated historic building with beautiful design and craftmanship keeping sustainability in mind. Thought and care has been put into every single detail of the making of this hotel down to the tiles in the bar salvaged from a European flea market, the ground floor made from Douglas fir beams reclaimed from the Fort Vancouver train station, the neon sign from a favorite Portland movie theater demolished long ago, and restaurant cushions covered in military surplus canvas from the Vietnam War era.
-
Spacious and beautiful shower with great soap products.
-
Both private and shared rooms available making this an awesome place to stay for a gathering or reunion of friends and family.
-
Rooms are simple, comfortable and well designed with unique features and one-of-a-kind art.
-
Staff is extremely kind, very helpful and enthusiastic about working at KEX.
-
The lobby bar, lounge area and restaurant are perfect for both intimate and large gatherings.
-
Sophisticated and delicious cocktails and a great wine list including many small Northwest winemakers.
-
Fun and lovely rooftop bar with city views. The sunsets are dreamy on a beautiful night.
-
Happy to know from window case display that the hotel stands on the side of social justice.
-
Great coffee shop right next door with delicious baked goods.
-
Due to no fault of their own, staff is limited as everywhere across the country due to the COVID situation. Longer wait times for food and drink.
-
Dottir could use a few more plant-based options on their menu.
