With its nine rooms, this locally-run, intimately-set hotel offers the ideal respite for surfing, writing, or just catching up on naps. It is a great place to stay, solo or with family, to ride some laidback, quiet time or waves if that’s more your adventure type.

Surf lessons on site. They have boards and everything you need, including amazing tico instructor

It's quiet. You can really disconnect, take naps, write, and really enjoy the pura vida

The restaurant onsite — Destiny — serves the best brunch in Nosara. Get the breakfast burrito!

Empty mini bar. The idea here is to bring what you need, it's not a luxury hotel, however, it would have been nice to have drinks in the fridge

Spotty wifi downstairs, but I was told it was being repaired. If you are coming to surf though, it shouldn't be an issue!

La Negra is in the center of Guiones, which is amazing because you can walk everywhere. This is the main beach in Nosara, which boasts a mix of locals and ex-pats, surfers and families, yogis, and plant medicine folks. It's a mixed bag of things, as is Costa Rica.
