Highs & Lows

  • The heated pool is one of the largest in Saint-Tropez, and while there are constantly people lingering in the lounge chairs and soaking up the sun, it never feels crowded — which can’t be said about the nearby beach clubs

  • The breakfast buffet is a fabulous spread of French favorites — the croissants! the pastries! — but you can also find healthier options like detox juices and an array of milk alternatives

  • The design is a nice mix of modern and retro that really encapsulates the 1960s French feel. Local, hand-painted ceramics and Matisse-inspired art add to the hotel’s sophisticated yet playful personality

  • The main advantages of the entry-level rooms are the natural light and views of the pool or gardens, but I’d recommend going for a suite with a terrace, which can also double as your own private apéro spot

  • This is more of a hotel to unwind — the main attraction is laying poolside — so if you’re looking for a lively atmosphere with a buzzy bar, or are traveling solo, you may want to book something near town

  • There’s a shuttle service to Place des Lices and Tahiti beaches, but if you want to explore other areas, you’ll need to drive or arrange for a transfer, which can take a while and is pretty pricey

Important Bits

  • Type

    Luxury Hotel

  • Vibe

The lifestyle hotel feels more like a collection of villas, especially if your room opens up to the pool

  • Location

    Central Saint Tropez

  • Rooms

    34 including eight suites

  • Pre-Arrival & Arrival Experience

Super smooth booking and pre-arrival process. The team act like personal concierges so everything from dinner to spa is arranged before your arrival

  • Future Forward

With fresh blood injected into the management of Maisons Pariente — the holding company of Lou Pinet — with the appointment of Leslie Kouhana & Kimberley Pariente, the hotel is starting to move towards a future-forward operation

  • Music

All I remember is the low buzzing from the cicadas — but that’s a good thing

  • Year Opened

    2019

  • Designed By

    Charles Zana and François Vieillecroze

  • Health & Wellness

The outdoor swimming pool is truly the centerpiece of the hotel, and guests lingered well past closing time with books and cocktails soaking up the lingering early summer sun. The spa is only two treatment rooms, but it's the only one in the area touting organic brand Tata Harper. Plus, there's a hammam and small gym

  • Food

Monaco transplant Beefbar is the only indication you're in flashy Saint-Tropez. The menu is a mix of high-end steakhouse and elevated street food, so while the prices may be steep — quality is worth it, right? — the vibe is anything but stuffy

  • Bar, Events & Nightlife

The pine-shaded outdoor bar overlooks the pool and serves up signature cocktails, as well as an all-day pool menu of "street food," which is on the more gourmet side — think Black Angus carpaccio and kobe beef sliders. The beauty of this hotel is the low-key atmosphere in the evenings, with the main draw being dinner at Beefbar

  • Minibar & Retail

Simply stocked minibar with complimentary non-alcoholic beverages, refilled daily

  • Accessibility

Two rooms are wheelchair-accessible and ramps lead to the pool

  • Pet Friendly

Extremely! Dog bowls and a bed were already waiting in our room, and everyone knew my dog's name when we arrived

  • Children

Yes, and welcome amenities include goodies from Jacadi. There are also bathtubs, changing mats, and highchairs available on request

  • Price

Definitely a splurge, but that's standard for a five-star spot in Saint-Tropez — especially in the height of season
