The best part is that the rooms are huge and super comfortable. All rooms are suites and each has a fireplace.
Ted loved the bed.

They call their cocktails ‘Love Potions’.
The newspapers are right there under the Dali. NBD.
Pretty sure they all go to the same place, but lolz anyway.

Owner Stefan Ashkenazy was hanging out when we got there. Love that. It made us feel very at home. He’s v. nice.

With Ashkenazy’s collection of Dali, DeKooning, Erte and more lining the hallways, it’s basically like staying in a very comfortable gallery.

It’s a registered hummingbird and butterfly sanctuary. You’re eating dinner and a hummingbird is hovering nearby. It’s magical.

The bathroom sinks are really deep. This pleased us for some reason.

Non-hotel guests can apply for membership for access to the restaurant and pool. You need to know a member first, though. It’s all very clandestine! They don’t like to talk about it.

The slippers have pointed toes like Moroccan leather slippers. Actually, the only other place we’ve seen pointy slippers is at the Heure Bleue Palais in Essaouria, Morocco which happens to be one of our favorite hotels on the planet.

There is a newly-renovated gym. The heated saltwater rooftop pool is one of the most gorgeous in LA. The hotel also arranges personal yoga sessions, should you wish to stretch out in your spacious suite.
