"Bougie contemporary luxury"
AT A GLANCE: Located in the tree-lined Paseo de la Castellana, in the heart of cosmopolitan Madrid, and within walking distance to the Serrano shopping district, trendy restaurants and bars, and the Golden Triangle of Art museums. Besides this luxury city hotel’s prime location and the usual amities expected from a 5-star property, service is on point; and gastronomy is at the core of it, with Amós, the signature hotel restaurant led by Michelin-starred chef Jesus Sanchez, Las Brasas for a more casual all-day dining, a bakery, and a tapas and cocktail bar.
Highs & Lows
-
Service was a 10/10. I had a mishap with my AirPods, and the entire team was on it like a serious FBI mission. They were quickly found, and I was eternally grateful!
-
The location was superb and within walking distance to all my fave restaurants, shops, and the ultimate AM walking track — Parque El Retiro
-
It’s the little things. The bellmen and concierge always remembered my name, which always makes me feel tres VIP
-
The turndown service always had a different sweet treat!
-
While the hotel has beautiful outdoor spaces, in the sweltering heat of Madrid in the summer, they were nearly impossible to enjoy in the day without a pool

Pre-Arrival & Arrival Experience
Easy peasy with a welcome email from their team on the ground asking all the important deets to prep for my arrival. AND! who doesn’t love an early check-in after a long flight?
-
Future Forward
The hotel uses reusable wood-style key cards and green toiletries [toothbrush, toothpaste, etc.], which is always a nice touch. For the hotel’s F+B, Rosewood’s Partners in Provenance program works with local farms that provide fresh produce, eggs, olive oil, and beef and are credited on the menus
-

Moody background tunes by day, DJ on the terrace by (weekend) nights

-
Designed By
Acclaimed architect Ramón de Arana has remodeled the hotel’s iconic façade and interior design by Australian award-winning Bar Studio
-
Health & Wellness
The gym is small but boasts new Technogym equipment for those who need it. The thermal area of the SENSE spa def makes up for it, complete with a steam room, sauna, and traditional Moroccan hammam among the zen treatments rooms. After 30k+ steps around the city, the massage was definitely a magical treat
-
Food
Amós, the signature hotel restaurant, led by Michelin-starred chef Jesus Sanchez specializes in the lesser-known Northern Spanish cuisine and wines of the Cantabrian region. The tasting menu is full of rich flavors (prob not for everyone?), including anchovies and caramelized duck paté, to name a few. For a more casual affair, Las Brasas offers all-day dining, Flor y Nata makes drool-worthy in-house pastries, and Tarde O, their vibey outdoor Terraza has tapas to accompany the cocktails
-
Bar, Events & Nightlife
Tarde O, the said vibey outdoor terrace, was probably my favorite part of the entire hotel. It was full of cool kids (and four-legged friends, as it's doggo-friendly) every night, which is honestly refreshing for a large-scale brand like Rosewood. Miguel Angel, who took care of us, was absolutely fantastic, and the mojito tasting was *a chef's kiss*
-
Minibar & Retail
I wish I was cool enough to like Negronis, as their minibar is equipped with an in-house mix of negronis and old fashions. Luckily, it also comes with a sweet bottle of gin and all the fixings for a G&T
-
Accessibility
Adequate accommodations made
-

Like most Rosewood properties, not for those looking for a steal as rooms start at €700 but… like most Rosewood properties worth it if you are after standout luxury and all-star service
