Highs & Lows

  • The sunsets here are magical, perfect to witness from your room or the beach bar.

  • Great selection of natural wines and well crafted cocktails thanks to expert staff.

  • The rocks and boulders are fun to explore and climb — a natural playground for the whole fam.

  • Individual bonfires and Adirondack chairs at the Low Tide Beach Bar.

  • Location — plenty to explore and only 2 hours from the city.

  • The rooms are well designed with simple and unique furnishings — every room is beach front!

  • The busy main road at the front of the hotel, although now the newly planted greenery blocks some of it.

  • Check if events are happening during your stay. Weddings are popular and will unfortunately close down the restaurant and take up beach space.

Hotel Location 58775 County Rd 48, Greenport, NY

Located on the North Fork of Long Island in Greenport, NY, The Sound View is the unpretentious sister to the Hamptons. It sits on the main road but is still on the ocean front, and the neighboring towns and villages are chill and full of character. It's calm and great for swimming or floating, a place where you can really unwind. And it's just a couple hours from the city depending on traffic.
