CONDESA DF

In the heart of Condesa, one of the best neighborhoods in Mexico City, Condesa DF is a trendy yet timeless spot. The 1928 neo-classical heritage building was refurbished by designer India Mahdavi for Grupo Habita with the intention to introduce the feel of Europe to Mexicans and the sense of Mexico to foreigners, keeping in mind the comings and goings of the neighborhood. From the welcoming staff to the lush entrance, Condesa DF is a fresh reflection of Mexican hospitality and heritage. Family-friendly and filled with amenities to unwind (think therme, hammam, sun beds, and massages), but also being quite the social scene with its two restaurants and bar, we can say Condesa DF has it all.

LA VALISE

A home away from home adorned with Mexican antiques and one-of-a-kind artifacts and objects, La Valise is an elegant 1920’s French-style townhouse that is a hub of Mexico City’s artsy social scene (we hear artist James Turrel likes to stay here when visiting CDMX…) — and a favorite after-party watering hole. IGNACIA GUEST HOUSE

A century-old, newly rebuilt estate house gets its name from Ignacia, who once was its housekeeper for 70 years! The guest house cleverly juxtaposes Mexican artisan tradition with contemporary design orchestrated by architecture firm Factor Eficiencia, who wanted to reflect the personality and history of Ignacia, from the chromatic color palette to the gardens inspired by the forests of Guerrero — her home state. The result is a modern oasis infused with the rich history of the property’s past. Ignacia Guest House went through a further renovation in 2022, adding four more rooms. Keeping the essence intact, the eight-bedroom property, with each room having its own balcony, also now features common outdoor space with a fireplace and a jacuzzi framed by treetops.

CASA 9

Calling itself a “luxury petit hotel,” Casa 9 stays true to its name with just four bedrooms. Located in Condesa, the hotel is as intimate as they come while being playful and experimental in its design and service.
